Sri Lanka’s US$100 Million Skills Programme Targets 49 Training Centres

The government signed a US$100 million ADB loan agreement on 6 November for a technical and vocational skills transformation programme. Plans include upgrading nine centres into regional training hubs and improving facilities at another 40 centres, alongside instructor development and updated occupational standards. The programme creates opportunities for training specialists and HR consultants. HPC can support workforce assessments, curriculum planning and professional development programmes.
