Nepal Announces 3% Concessional Startup Loans for Women Entrepreneurs

On 4 November, Industry Minister Deepak Kumar Shah announced policy support for women-owned small and medium-sized industries, including concessional startup loans at a subsidised interest rate of 3%, collateral-free financing and preferential tax measures. No total lending allocation or individual loan ceiling was disclosed in the announcement. The initiative creates opportunities for women-led startups, lenders, business accelerators and enterprise advisers.
